Privacy protocol
Your image never leaves your device.
TruthLens runs its analysis directly in the browser. The selected image is parsed locally for C2PA / Content Credentials, EXIF / XMP metadata, and JPEG or PNG structure. There is no upload flow, no storage layer, and no image sent to a remote server.
No backend
This MVP does not use API routes or remote image analysis infrastructure.
No persistence
Results stay in transient browser memory and disappear when you refresh or begin a new scan.
No hidden cloud model
TruthLens does not perform pixel-level inference or send your file to third-party AI APIs.
Design principle
TruthLens is optimized to surface OpenAI and ChatGPT product-line provenance first, then other declared provider signals when their toolchain hints are disclosed in C2PA or metadata. Embedded credentials are treated as a stronger source-of-truth than pixel guesswork.
